Peachtree Golf Club first opened for play in 1947. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. in collaboration with Bobby Jones.

The Peachtree Golf Club Golf Course has fast greens that are undulating and well bunkered. Ten of the greens are multi-tiered, and hole #14, a 179-yard par 3, features a peninsula green. Water hazards (eleven ponds connected by a creek) come into play on fourteen holes. The signature hole is #4, a 166-yard par 3 that requires a tee shot over water to a small green.
